In my office area chinatown, i am sure that most of you see a lot of the elderly gathering at one spot, making you wonder what is happening there. The answer is they are playing chess, don't be cheated by just thinking it's a normal game. Every game they played are with a side bet of money ($5-$20) per game.

As usual most of the ladies always says when a man is serious thinking or working, they tends to look more attractive. In this picture you can see the old folk is really thinking hard on his next move. This is what i really called Singaporean elderly life style

Terence & Valen Wedding

Terence & Valen Wedding, originally uploaded by jsirias.

Terence & Valen Wedding was taken in the month of Aug 09, I was busy editing the photos before uploading to the site. Anyway interesting couple! Husband tends to look at the lens more than the Wife, but the wife tends to avoid the camera all the time.

However still managed to capture most of the moments! Join me to bless them in their marriage! there are more photos in the flickr account.

The Last Kampong In Singapore

This is the last Kampong in Singapore, located in Lorong Buangkok (Just Beside the Institute of Mental Health) There have been a lot of rumors saying that the Government of Singapore have intention to tear down the place. However after so many years, it still there. As one of the Resident there told me that the Government is negotiating with the land owner, but the owner refused to sell the land due to most of the resident there are paying low monthly rental (like: $10 -$50 per month.)

The life there seems very simple, however the hygiene level over there is really very bad. while i was there shooting i feed a lot of mosquito too. (lol..) anyway for anyone is planning to visit there, just for your information the resident over there does not really like to take pictures, when they sees you holds a camera they tends to run away. But one of the resident told me that due to the reporters have been coming here very often to interview them. Well just try to be friendly after all there is not your territory
